Likewise or similarly in other lexica, and cf. also the scholia to Aristophanes, Wasps 103, where the phrase a)po\ dorphstou= (dorpistou= in one manuscript) occurs. The authentic classical form, evidently, is dorphsto/s, with an instance in Xenophon (Anabasis 1.10.17) as well as this one in Aristophanes. The -ist- form is extant once in the Hippocratic corpus; otherwise it is confined to lexicography.
