The name of a people.
*)akragali/s: o)/noma e)/qnous.
Presumably the same as the Akragallidai mentioned in
Libanius,
Declamations 17.1.70. If so, one of the Phokian communites that vied for control of the Delphic Oracle (cf. generally
kappa 1659). But in fact the most authentic name of this community, the precise location of which is unknown, appears to be Kragal(l)idai: see
kappa 2349, and generally J. Oulhen in M.H. Hansen and T.H. Nielsen (eds.),
An Inventory of Archaic and Classical Poleis (Oxford 2004) 402.
