[Meaning] to restore,[1] to hallow. Also said [sc. as a synonym] is sulh=sai ["to strip/despoil"].[2]
*)afagni/sai: a)podou=nai, kaqierw=sai. le/getai de\ kai\ to\ sulh=sai.
Same or similar entry in other lexica. The headword is aorist active infinitive of the verb
a)fagni/zw, for which LSJ gives two senses: I, consecrate/purify; II (in lexica only), a sense equating to despoil/strip (see further below). The present glossing seems to conflate or confuse the two.
In any event, this infinitive must be quoted from somewhere: the possibilities include
Sophocles,
Antigone 196, and
Leviticus 14.49
LXX.
[1] Adler does print
a)podou=nai (and notes no textual variants), but perhaps one should read
a)podu=nai; compare
Hesychius' aorist participle
a)fagni/sas glossed with
a)podu/sas, h)\ sulh/sas.
[2] For this last cf. generally
sigma 1336.
