[The name of] one of the Giants, [the one] who survived.[1]

And Aristion likewise.[3] He is a Samian or Plataian, and, since a lad, a companion of Demosthenes; he was sent by him to Hephaistion for negotiations. Hyperides mentions him in the [speech] Against Demosthenes.[4]
Aristaios, the story goes, was the only Giant to survive on the Sicilian mountain called Etna; the fire of heaven did not reach him, nor did Etna crush him.[5]
