[2] Part of the long Menander Protector fr. 6.1 Blockley (76-77), on the conclusion of negotiations in 561 between the Persian Yazdgushnasp (Yesdegusnaph, cf. omicron 1022 note) and the Roman envoy Peter (Petros, Petrus; cf. pi 1406 and pi 1408); cf. pi 1695. As Menander notes at the beginning of this fragment, Yazdgushnasp was the chamberlain to king Chosroes (see generally chi 418) and held the rank of Zikh, the highest honor among the Persians; cf. Blockley (54-55).
