Besides here, the headword -- Ionic aorist middle of
a)nafe/rw -- is attested only in
Herodotus 8.32.1 and 8.36.2; however, in neither of those passages does it bear the meaning 'they called to mind' (for which see generally LSJ s.v. II.10).
