This man managed the regal affairs of Darius and promised to bring in many talents to the king, if he destroyed the Judaeans. As he prevailed, a message was sent out to all the gentiles to destroy them all in one day. Before these things could happen, Mordecai revealed the scheme against them to the king, on account of Esther. And he recalled the messages that had been sent out and crucified Haman, who had intended to crucify Mordecai, and most of the hostile forces were destroyed by the Jews; and those days Jews commemorate with a feast.[1]
