The present entry seems to assert an etymological connection between
a)gaqo/s ('good') and these other words. The others are apparently interrelated:
a)/ghmi seems to be an active version of the attested
a)/gamai ('wonder at, admire'), and
a)gasto/s means 'admired'. All are connected with the prefix
a)ga-. The derivation of
a)gaqo/s from the same prefix is not accepted nowadays, but scholars do not agree on any other derivation either.
