[2] The latter definition is also in the Etymologicum Gudianum s.v. kw=los; see also kappa 1039 for the Stoic grammarians' definitions this derives from ("detached expression"). The noun is normally neuter (kw=lon); the Suda's masculine form is attested mainly in lexica and grammars.
