[1] This gloss (also in the Ambrosian Lexicon, according to Adler) applies to the second of the twin headwords, a)ph/nta and a)ph/nthka (probably quoted from Genesis 33.8 LXX). The first verb is imperfect, third person singular, and the second is perfect, first person singular, both from a)panta/w. The subsequent quotations illustrate the aorist and the perfect of the same verb.
