Dr. D. Manivannan, an associate professor in the department, received a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, under Professor Mukesh Singhal. His research interest lies in the following areas: (i) fault-tolerance and synchronization in distributed and mobile computing systems; (ii) architecture and protocols for wormhole networks, cellular networks, wireless personal area networks, mobile ad hoc networks, vehicular ad hoc networks and sensor networks.
