Zybook Assignments

This class has an on-line textbook. It has content and exercises. You will be assigned some part of the book most weeks. You create an account on the website at the time you buy the book (subscription). You log into the account and any work done while you are logged in is recorded. The book doesn't have a "Submit" button or "Save" button. It automatically records your answers and scores them too.

  • All exercises give you feedback and you can edit your answers and submit them again if you want.
  • If you have problems with exercises, feel free to talk to any of the TAs or Dr. Keen about them before the due date.
  • Note that the number of the Zybook assignment "Zybook 5" may or may NOT be the chapter number! Sometimes the assignment is only half a chapter. Actually read what the assignment in Canvas says as for what you need to read!
  • The assignments are graded out of 10 points. The percentage that is the score from the Zybook site is divided by 10 and rounded to the nearest whole number to be recorded in Canvas.
  • You are responsible for knowing the material in the book - that part that corresponds to the lecture material.
  • Re-reading chapters is one way to study for exams.
